If you are not down with that….You don’t belong here. Our nation is teetering on the abyss of economic and political disintegration. From a period of robust job growth, shrinking federal deficits and an optimistic outlook for the next generation during the Clinton administration we have gone to:

No job growth to speak of…

A federal deficit that is out of control…

A future defined by the architects of all this as ‘fearful, uncertain and violent…’

The destruction of the last vestige of guaranteed freedom…

The destruction of worker’s rights to organise….

The Republican scum cannot deny these statements. They can make excuses such as:

‘9/11 changed everything…’

‘Taxes are ‘your money’…’

‘We have to fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them over here…’

We in the blogosphere have known these for what they are: Lies and excuses for corruption and fascism for a long, long time. Many here have felt that ‘America’ was a lost cause and, true to the spirit of free and open dialogue which flourishes here, others have called ‘bullshit’ or ‘over my dead body’ on such defeatist rhetoric. No prize for guessing which camp I belong in.

Now we can see that the American citizenry, the ones that vote, have finally woken up.

This is it folks. 30 days to work for progressive candidates and get them into office. Once there we can start educating them on what they need to do to destroy the vile culture of moral corruption the Republicans have created in their own image.
