Quite some time ago, September 2, 2005, I wrote a post titled ‘President Death’ wherein I discussed Mr. Bush and his use of the suffering, maiming and death of others to further his political agenda. Those of us who are familiar with history understand that this is nothing new amongst those who would rule us. The oligarchy, the ‘invisible conspiracy’, the patriarchy, Fascists, Communists, the ReichWing conspiracy in our nation, all have been using our fears and insecurities in attempts to control the political process.I decided to repost the original and add on some thoughts in light of President Death’s visit to exploit and attempt to profit from address the pain and agony which now fills the minds of many from the Blacksburg mass murder.
President Death
Well, as James Carville said quite some time ago: Have ya had enough? ‘Cause if ya ain’t President Death and his band of vile sycophants are going to just keep on shoveling the death, destruction and corruption of everything most Americans believe about themselves and their nation right down your throat. Shining City on the Hill….don’t make me puke. Our nation is now reviled by billions of people all over the world thanks to President Death’s foreign policy: An evil amalgam of colonialism masquerading as “globalization”; racism masquerading as “The War on Terror; hubris masquerading as “The Project for a New American Century”. So far it has cost our nation thousands of American lives, hundreds of billions of dollars and worst of all any moral authority we once had to show the citizens of this dying planet a better way. I hate to say it but President Death is just getting warmed up. He’s already done the following: Destroyed the government’s ability to educate it’s citizens; allowed industry to go on a pollution spree which will kill hundreds of thousands of American citizens in the years to come; put in place a plan to make our National Park system a profit center of corporate America; gutted basic funding for Homeland Security to pay for his bloodbath in Iraq. And now while thousands of Americans are dying here in America due to, yet again, his illegal war his henchmen in the Congress propose to send the government into bankruptcy by repealing the estate tax. And he had the insufferable gall to call upon “folks” to make charitable contributions to help the victims of Katrina. Do you understand? President Death is saying that we the people having already paid our taxes in the expectation of public safety, public health and Homeland Security need, must, because he says so, dig into our wallets again and shell out to succor those in need throughout the Gulf States. The money you already sent to D.C. has been spent. Spent on tax giveaways to the richest 1% of Americans. Spent on killing women and children in Iraq. Spent to pay Halliburton and other war profiteers for the financial support of President Death and the Vile Cheney. Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to sit back and let President Death continue to kill and maim thousands in his insane attack on anything and everything his damaged brain perceives as threat. I am not. I will do whatever I can to oppose this madman. March, write letters, demonstrate, donate to the opposition. Whatever it takes.
And to those who would say: ‘Oh…there’s nothing I can do.’ ‘Oh…I’m too busy’ or anything other than: “I’m ready to fight!”
I say: You are part of the problem, not the solution.
