George W. Bush The Greatest Conservative President in American History.

June 30, 2007

George W. Bush the ‘Greatest Conservative President in America’s History’. Can there be any doubt about my simple statement? I think not. From his tender beginnings as ‘President Death’ on to his great performance as ‘The Banality of Evil’ this vicious little psychopath has always had a knack for getting folks to ‘misunderestimate’ him.

His talent for decisive judgment gave us The MeatGrinder. His fantastic skills delegating responsibility showed, in the end, the people of New Orleans just how useless his administration was. His fabulous plan to ’save Social Security’ was…well, nobody bought into it. His initial decision to let Mr. FourthBranch be his V.P. was perhaps his greatest conservative achievement leading to….

The Valerie Plame Affair.

The NSA listening in to everyone’s phone calls and tracking all their credit card purchases.

The Suspension of Habeas Corpus.

But ‘The Greatest’ was solely responsible for all that was he not?

No

He was most definitely not.

He just the vile sockpuppet for the ‘conservative’ movement. As nasty a hodgepodge of racists, nativists, xtian cult members and RWAs. All led by a coalition of ‘conservative’ think-tanks funded by the uber-rich the folks who own 40% of everything. Yeah, homer….everything.

The folks who have in effect brought back slavery in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Courtesy of Jack Abramov’s ‘House of Thieves’. Note that they are all members in good standing in The ‘Conservative’ Party. Which party is working on it’s latest scheme to make the importation of slaves into the continental United States where they can be used to drive your wages down to….well, how would you like to be making the minimum wage buddy? And then have your paycheck bounce.

Yes, the ‘Conservative’ Party led by their lying punkass MSM mouthpieces, some of them direct descendents of the movements founders, who wouldn’t know real work or how to solve a problem if either of those things bit them in the ass hard enough to send blood spurting. But these same ‘pundits’ can talk for hours about how victory for them and their Lame Duck President is just six months, and 500 more dead Americans, around the corner down the road.

You and I know all this.

The important thing now is to make sure the American people see this ‘conservative’ conspiracy for what it truly has been and will be:

The most dire threat to our nation since the civil war.

An Open Letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi

June 30, 2007

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

I have written your office on several different occasions asking that you move to initiate impeachment proceedings against George Bush and Dick Cheney. We’ve all heard you say that “impeachment is off the table”. You have said one reason for this is that impeachment would be a waste of time. I’m not at all sure this is your primary reason.

One very strong reason you probably have for opposing impeachment is the well known but rarely discussed fact that you are third in line for the Presidency. I don’t see how you could be in your position and not be strongly influenced by this fact. I can also see that the possibility of ascending to the Presidency in such a time and manner could be very intimidating.

I suggest that you fear not the consequences, that you carry out the full responsibilities of your office, that you uphold your oath of office. Many events, foreseen and not, would take place between the time the House commenced impeachment proceedings and the time you might ascend to the Presidency. Few can predict the future, but the likelihood that you would ascend to the Presidency in this manner is very low.

Meanwhile, thousands of Americans and Iraqis are being maimed and killed every month as a result of impeachable acts committed by this Administration. How many more will be maimed and killed in the next eighteen months if the House fails to act?

There was an earlier time when Congress failed to impeach, when our representatives failed to uphold their oaths, when they failed to provide adequate oversight, when they failed to prevent the Executive branch from grabbing power not granted by the Constitution. That time was Iran/Contra during the Reagan Administration.

Many members of that Reagan Administration, including Dick Cheney, are or were members of this Bush Administration. And I contend that these people were emboldened into carrying out the current abuses of power by the fact that they were not held accountable for the abuses of Iran/Contra. Imagine if you will, that this Administration is also not held accountable, that the current abuses become accepted and are condoned as were the abuses of Iran/Contra. Imagine that this Congress is complicit as was that earlier body. What abuses might future Administrations be tempted to carry out?

No impeachment then, no impeachment now. But, we did have impeachment proceedings during the intervening years – simply for lying about a “private” matter. Please do not continue that mockery by abdicating your responsibility now. Impeachment is not a waste of time, it is absolutely necessary, and it is your duty. Do not worry – the people will be behind you, we will march in the streets of Washington to support you.

Thank you for your time.

In case you fergot………..

June 29, 2007

This tune was originally written by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in 1929. The song was about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.

As you probably know the effects of Katrina are still with us to. Thanks to the scum of the ‘conservative’ Republican Party. Just so as to not forget here is one of  my posts about it back in 2005 and another and here’s another. I can tell you that Bush’s uncaring approach to the disaster of  Katrina makes him a true conservative. You do remember the ‘conservative’ mantra don’t ya? Lower taxes, which translates into big tax cuts for rich folks and lousy schools and infrastructure for you; a strong military, which translates into an endless series of wars which we mostly lose; and smaller government, which means you are on your own if disaster hits in the for of Bird Fly, earthquake or hurricane.

Well the panic is setting in in Billy Kristol’s small mind and all those other ReichWing scum who’ve been trumpeting America’s ‘New Way Forward’ through massive transfers of wealth to themselves using the tax system and a nice bloody war to keep everybody distracted while they try to undo the New Deal and move us back to Feudal times. See, it’s gonna all turn out to be…..

Bush’s fault.

Yeah,  just one stupid guy who fucked up ‘Conservatives’ great plan.

Too make you a slave in the Corporate Slave State.

Well, I and  other are determined that this ain’t gonna happen.

We are gonna hang the politically dead, stinking carcasse of George W. Bush ‘America’s Greatest Conservative President’ around the neck of every ‘conservative’ scumball who opens his or her mouth.

‘If you care about what you are doing….sometimes you have to stand up and fight.

June 28, 2007

Dead perfect framing by Senator Edwards. ‘Crazies….’ yeah, John. I like that. Plus shifting the ground to ‘ while they tell these lies it makes it very difficult to talk about people’s lives….’

And….

‘they used to do this in the South…saying the most debased things about people who just happened to be afro-american.

‘We have to fight back….’

As to ReichWinger Coulter a true ‘conservative’ here’s what the MSNBC poll shows.

Keep up the good work Ann.

If you want to contribute to John Edwards campaign and really give Ol’ Ann a cramp in her ’style’ here’s the spot to do so.

A Message from Donna Edwards.

June 27, 2007

Who is she? She’s a solid progressive candidate to replace the Al Wynn a very non-progressive Democrat. She tells you something about him in this letter asking for your financial support. You can also find her on our ‘For a Blue Majority Now’ page. Clik on the link in the right sidebar.

Dear Friend,

We know that this country faces very serious problems. We are bogged down in Iraq, gas prices are high and we’re ruining the world’s environment. Going to the doctor is a nightmare of paperwork and a lot of us cannot even afford to make an appointment. Our schools are rundown, our children are struggling, and our teachers do more testing than teaching. Meanwhile, the television is full of unimportant stories about Paris Hilton and celebrity mishaps.

There’s a sickness in our country today, a slow, ill-at-ease feeling, a sense that the big things and the little things have gone wrong, an understanding that where we need big leadership and risk-taking, there isn’t any, and where we need prudence and caution, we find only greed and a desire to take the easy way out.

Well, I’m not ready to give up. That’s why I’m running for Congress again, and that’s why I’m asking you to help me change the country. It’s not enough to elect Democrats, we need to elect leaders. Please consider a $100 contribution to help us reach our campaign goal for the quarter ending June 30. I guarantee you that it will be the proudest investment you’ll make this year. To reach our goal, we need 100 people to each make a $100 contribution. I’m asking you to be one of them, and for a very specific reason. Please contribute today — and help us reach our 100 new donor goal!

Last year, I challenged Congressman Al Wynn for Maryland’s 4th Congressional district. I’m a Democrat and I challenged him in a Democratic primary. I did it because he voted for the war, voted for Bush’s energy bill, worked with oil, coal, and nuclear companies to further their interests, and voted with big banks and credit card companies against consumers. But most of all, I ran against this entrenched incumbent because he has a history in Congress of taking the easy way out, of not making tough decisions, of standing on the sidelines. He was afraid of corporate interests, so he consistently did what they wanted for fifteen years in Congress.

More Rats Head for Da Dock……

June 26, 2007

Yep, September is here….

Here is Senator John ‘I luv me some Bush’ Warner speaking about Senator Lugar’s R-IN recent speech:

“I hail what he did,” said Sen. John W. Warner, R-Va., former chairman of the Armed Services Committee. “It shows the strength that each of us individually must bring to this debate.” Warner said that he too feels the September reporting date is too long to wait to revise U.S. war policy. […]

And the scumball Jeff ‘Send ‘em to Gitmo’ Sessions:

There is a growing feeling among senators that the U.S. presence in Iraq needs review, [Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)] said, adding that he agrees that troops levels should be reduced “as soon as it is realistic to do it.” […]

From Ohio Voinovich jumps for the dock…Watch it! That’s a long way to safety there George!

….said that it is important to find out if the administration is listening to differing views on Iraq. “If they’re not, I think that many of us are going to look at legislation that will limit the number of troops,” he said. Voinovich intends to submit a letter to the administration detailing an exit plan that would include engagement with the Arab League and the United Nations, he said.

Warner has already indicated he ain’t runnin’ fer re-election so he must be concerned with his ‘legacy’. Don’t worry none about that John…jes try and stay outa jail. Yer way do old for that action.

Big Fat ReThug Rat heads for the Dock….

June 25, 2007

This is Richard Lugar R-IN and he is not up for re-election. Hah…I guess September is comin’ early this year malcontent! The heat is on and the scumbag ReThugs and their enablers in the ‘Democrat’ Party are gonna fry.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…………

June 23, 2007

What was I saying back on May 24th? Oh….yeah, now I remember. Something about the shit hitting the fan? That was a  follow up on my ‘hostage’ post.

And then there was the extended dialogue with tekstone about what approach should be taken to git the ‘Democrat’ Party off it’s fat ass re: The MeatGrinder.

Bottom line our fellow Americans are being held hostage and murdered…at the rate of  six a day that’s double the rate before Bush and his lickspittle General PetAss started ‘the Surge’. If you would like to ask Madame Speaker to please ’set the table’ for Impeachment of the criminals Bush and Cheney just clik on her picture below:

I’d say it’s time fer her to get out the House china and silverware….

Flash Update: tekstone informs me that if yer not a constituent Congress.org will not let you send Madame Speaker an email. I see from reading this post that I failed to put forth my plan for influencing her and other ‘Democrat’ folk. This is an important time and an important issue so I urge you to call her office, all her office numbers are listed at Congress.org so call her and hey….maybe call her office more than once. Elizabeth Edwards addresses the Alice B. Toklas Club Breakfast.

June 23, 2007

I know some of our Drinking Liberally friends will be there. Here’s a quote about the event:

Elizabeth Edwards’ star appearance at the huge Alice B. Toklas Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Democratic Club Pride Breakfast this weekend marks something of a landmark in a presidential campaign — the first appearance of a major candidate or spouse at the San Francisco Gay Pride festivities.

Edwards, wife of Democratic former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, will speak at the Toklas breakfast on Sunday and already the tickets are sold out to the 8 a.m. event at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

Rebecca Prozan, Alice B. Toklas co-chair, calls the appearance of Elizabeth Edwards — a popular and formidable campaigner, and a highly effective spokeswoman for her husband — “huge” to the LGBT community, saying that it underscores how the Democratic presidential candidate is sending a message of “commitment to our community and our issues.”

Sadly we learned of this event too late to give it much publicity here but I am sure that our efforts, while helpful, would be small compared to the tremendous sense of recognition those many who belong to this community, a subset of our bigger Bay Area progressive community, are feeling right now.

Another good reason to get behind the Edwards campaign.
