Obama and the suicide of the Democratic Party is a topic I will be visiting time to time but I really can’t get too involved in.. As I told Howard Dean at facebook today I really cannot support the actions of the party in denying Dem primary voters their vote, a Republican tactic, to nominate a Republican-lite candidate who won by voter suppression. Howard could, of course, give f#$k what I think but hey….

It’s gonna be pretty hard to ban me from the blog where I write 93% of the posts. Jane, whom I also contacted at facebook, a woman whom I stand in awe of for her steel spine and great writing skills told the ‘Boyz on the Blogz’ and the Obamacans where it is at today. Outstanding post about what the situation realy is as opposed to having an orgasm every time the MSM announces that Hillary is conceding.

From on the ground in IA: Dead Heat!

Here’s my assessment of where the campaign is at based on my visit this weekend to Iowa:

1. The Obama surge feels real to me. Obama’s team on the ground is feeling quite optimistic about things, and they weren’t even downplaying things the way most campaigns do who are trying to keep expectations down. Most of the people I talked to while I was there predicted Obama would win, and they give him some clear momentum.

2. I think Hillary is hanging in there solidly. She still has a great organization, which is not losing any steam, and AFSCME and EMILY’s List both have impressive independent expenditure campaigns working hard and at a big volume. She’s keeping things very close, and if Obama stumbles at all, or she catches a lucky break, she still has a solid shot at winning.

3. My theories about Edwards fading don’t seem as likely to me after my visit. His organization still seems just as strong as my last visit, and in some conversations with folks from rural Iowa that came in for Saturday’s Heartland Presidential Forum, I get the impression that he is still the strongest of the three in rural IA, which is important.

4. Biden has more momentum than Richardson or Dodd going into the final month, and is picking up traction in some places around the state. I expect him to finish fourth , but he has a very long way to go to pull off a shocker and get into the top three- he’s not surging by anywhere near that much, not yet at least.

With exactly a month to go, this race continues to look like a tight race down to the end, and at least right now, feels much more like a 3-way race than a 2-way.

And one thing holds up pretty well; that is, why the hell is everybody talking as if ‘bombing Iran…’ will ‘knock out’ their underground laboratories. So Mr. Bush in a transparent effort to get his poll numbers up prior to the off year congressional elections is rattling his saber. Pretty much all he’s got left given that most Americans believe he is both incompetent and a liar. Here some things to think about with regards to the latest scare campaign by McChimpy and Mr. Cheney, or "Doin’ Time" as he will soon be known. These folks want to show you something about "nuclear bunker busters", funny how the psychopaths who have seized power like to use corporate advertising techniques such as: "shock and awe"; too bad the insurgents don’t seem to get it; "fight them there so we don’t have to fight them over here…", don’t count yer chickens on that one, and my personal favorite: "They hate our freedoms….". Yet these "transformative" leaders have no idea as whether their plans will actually work. Maybe that’s what they mean by "faith based"… But then what do a bunch of egghead scientists know? They don’t believe in the Creation. They say that Adam and Eve didn’t ride dinosaurs to church. Godless liberals is what they are. Good thing we’ve got President Bush to lead us. Mr. Dave Letterman put together a little film clip contrasting Mr. Bush’s inimitable speaking style with some famous Presidents of the past. Reassuring ain’t it? The picture? That’s a map of a classic "choke point"….. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 60% of the world’s oil flows through this strait. How long do you think that will continue if Mr. Bush strikes Iran with nuclear fire? If you’d like to let Mr. Bush know what you think of his plan for world economic and political disaster why go here and tell him. Don’t get me wrong. I think dropping nuclear bombs on anybody for any reason should be enough to get you locked up. But there are good practical reasons why this is not a good idea beyond the fact that it is morally indefensible.

This shows that John Edwards has a great chance to move up in the race for the primary but that he really will need our help to win this thing. So, unless you’re happy with The Hill bein’ the next President, and I haven’t met anyone in meat-space lately who is, you’d do well to help John Edwards right now. Don’t wait or it might be too late if you know what I mean.

Yeah, dimwits The Hill will make everthing better…not likely.

How much deeper should we dig the hole we’re in before the Washington Post decides it’s no longer “irresponsible” for Harry Reid to make life awkward for Bush’s minions?’

My Open Letter to Harry Reid. Subject: The LiarMann.

Hey Harry! It’s me again. I wanted to call your attention to something but…Gee, I started lookin’ at the letters the citizenry is sending you and the wingnuts and nativists are really out in force today. Those hordes of brown people ‘surging’ over the border really have folks scared.

Funny about that Harry. Studies have shown that the great American people are really clueless when it comes to make realistic assessments of the threats they face.

Brown hordes! Whoa! That’s some to be scared of. Well, as you know that’s not really the case. Numerous studies show that those meskins are contributing to the economic well-being of the U.S. big time. ‘Sides you and I know that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it as long as Mexico’s economy is in the dumper.

Lost my thread there Harry. See, I’m not writing you about the evil meskins I’m writing you about a danger you face that is far closer to home. This vile sycophant has time and again tried to undercut your authority as Senate Majority Leader. He’s lied again and again about Iraq, President Bush, the Democratic Majority and recently denigrated our troops overseas.

Well Harry I think you had better re-evaluate your relationship to Joey the LiarMann. Do it soon Harry ’cause I am not sure your constituents are gonna like it when gas hits $8.00/gal. What’s Holy Joe the ‘Last Honest Man’ have to do with that Harry. Well, ‘Rape Gurney Joe’ makes a violent speech on Sunday about the absolute necessity of our bombing Iran and the price of a barrel of oil went up 10% this morning.

So you see Harry it’s not too smart to be defending HoJo right now he is spiraling into a crash dive I doubt he will recover from.
